Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, has been awarded the “Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri Üstün Hizmet Madalyası” (Turkish Armed Forces Medal of Distinguished Service) by Türkiye’s Chief of General Staff, General Metin Bayraktaroğlu.
The prestigious honour recognises his outstanding contributions to strengthening the longstanding friendship between the Armed Forces of Pakistan and Türkiye, as well as his role in advancing defense cooperation and reinforcing the enduring strategic partnership between the two brotherly nations.
