QUETTA: In a rare medical event, a woman gave birth to quintuplets—three girls and two boys—at a private hospital in Quetta on Monday.
According to the hospital administration, both the mother and the newborns are in satisfactory condition. As a precaution, all five babies will remain in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for the next ten days, where they will receive specialized medical care and continuous monitoring.
Family members said the couple already had three children, bringing the total number of children in the household to eight following the birth of the quintuplets.
Doctors described the birth as an uncommon medical occurrence, noting that pregnancies involving five babies require intensive postnatal care to ensure the well-being of both the mother and the newborns.
