ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, to discuss recent regional and international developments, with particular emphasis on the deteriorating situation in Palestine.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two foreign ministers expressed deep concern over the continued Israeli military operations in Gaza and the Occupied West Bank, repeated violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem, and the rapidly worsening humanitarian crisis affecting Palestinian civilians.
During the conversation, both leaders reaffirmed their unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and stressed the need for intensified diplomatic efforts to address the ongoing crisis.
The two ministers also discussed Jordan’s proposal to convene a meeting of Arab and Islamic countries aimed at coordinating diplomatic initiatives in support of the Palestinian people and advancing collective efforts to address the humanitarian and political challenges in the region.
The discussion reflects the continued close coordination between Pakistan and Türkiye on regional issues and their shared commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause through diplomatic engagement.
