The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s ballistic missile attack on Saudi Arabia’s southern region, calling on the international community to take firm and decisive action.
GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohammed Al-Budaiwi said in his statement that the Houthi militia’s terrorist attack is a clear violation of international law and international humanitarian norms. He added that such actions reflect ongoing attempts to undermine regional peace and stability and to target civilians and vital installations.
He emphasized that, given the Houthi militia’s repeated violations of the ceasefire and international laws, the international community must adopt a strong, effective, and decisive stance to end these aggressive acts and bring the responsible parties to justice.
The Secretary-General stressed that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the collective security of all GCC member states, reaffirming the Council’s full support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its security, stability, citizens, and residents.
