GUANGZHOU: Pakistan and China have made significant progress in strengthening bilateral trade, investment and business cooperation with the successful holding of the 5th Pakistan Investment and Business Environment Exchange Forum 2026 in Guangzhou, China.
The forum provided a platform for Pakistani and Chinese stakeholders to explore new opportunities in bilateral trade, investment and economic cooperation. Policy discussions, investment project presentations, industrial agreements, business-to-business (B2B) meetings and product exhibitions were also held.
During the forum, five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed in key sectors, including electric vehicles, battery manufacturing, construction materials, furniture, pine nuts, medical tourism and business tourism.
Investment opportunities in energy, e-commerce, construction materials, furniture and food processing were also presented, highlighting Pakistan’s potential as an attractive destination for Chinese investment and business partnerships.
The forum further explored prospects for expanding industrial and infrastructure cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), with participants emphasizing greater collaboration between the private sectors of both countries, technology transfer and industrial development.
As Pakistan and China mark 75 years of diplomatic relations, participants reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening economic ties and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
The growing trade links, new investment initiatives and emerging business partnerships between Pakistan and China are expected to give a new impetus to bilateral economic cooperation and open up further opportunities for businesses in both countries.
