Google has launched Digital Pasban, a new initiative aimed at promoting online safety and digital awareness in Pakistan, while committing $500,000 to support efforts in this area.
The initiative is designed to help people better understand online risks, strengthen digital literacy and encourage safer use of internet platforms. The funding is expected to support programs focused on educating communities about responsible digital practices and online security.
Digital Pasban comes as internet use continues to expand across Pakistan, increasing the need for greater awareness of issues such as online scams, misinformation, privacy and cyber safety.
Through the initiative, Google aims to work with local partners to build a safer and more informed digital environment. The company’s investment also highlights the growing importance of digital safety as Pakistan’s online population continues to grow.
