LAUSANNE, August 4: The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has opened registration for the WBSC eBaseball™ Series 2026 Women’s Qualifier, with the tournament set to begin on 22 August.
The annual competition, now in its second edition following a successful debut last year, is open to female players worldwide. Participants can register until 21 August to compete in either the PlayStation or Steam/PC preliminary tournaments.
The Women’s Qualifier will be held in two stages. The Preliminary Events, scheduled from 22 to 31 August, will feature separate competitions for PlayStation and Steam/PC players. The leading players from each platform will advance to the Play-Offs, which will take place from 5 to 14 September on the PlayStation version of the game in a single-elimination format.
The winner of the Women’s Qualifier Play-Off will earn a provisional berth at the WBSC eBaseball™ Series 2026 World Finals, to be held in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA, on 14-15 November.
The WBSC said the qualification will become official once the champion submits a valid passport for verification by 15 September.
The tournament is part of the WBSC’s continued efforts to promote greater participation of women in esports while expanding the global reach of competitive eBaseball.
