Islamabad, September 10, 2026: The Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) and Pro-Green Boxing Federation have announced their complete disassociation from the “Azadi Fight Night” event, stressing that boxing competitions must comply with state laws, regulatory requirements and official approvals.

In a press release issued on Thursday, the two organizations said that obtaining mandatory No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and clearances from relevant government and local authorities remains a fundamental requirement for the organization of sporting events.

The federations said that events conducted outside established legal and regulatory frameworks could undermine transparency, athlete safety and the integrity of the sport.

They emphasized that recognized sports governing bodies are required to operate according to domestic and international standards, with athlete welfare and proper administration among their key priorities.

The statement also issued a stern warning against what the federations described as “substandard events,” urging organizers and athletes to ensure that all necessary permissions and safety measures are in place before participating in boxing competitions.

The announcement comes as the boxing bodies seek to reinforce the importance of proper regulation, institutional transparency and compliance with government requirements in Pakistan’s sporting sector.
