South Africa Women’s U19 took a 1-0 lead in the five-match T20 series after defeating Pakistan by four wickets at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. Chasing a target of 104, the visitors reached 104-6 in 16 overs, with Player of the Match Chanel Venter scoring 41 off 32 balls. Earlier, Pakistan recovered from 0-3 thanks to Aqsa Habib’s 38 and Zoofishan Ayyaz’s 30 to post 103-6. Shahar Bano impressed with an unbeaten 18 off seven balls and figures of 2-16, while debutant Maham Nazakat claimed two wickets, but Pakistan’s efforts were not enough to prevent South Africa from securing victory.
