Nankana Sahib: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) launched a series of food safety inspections across Nankana Sahib, imposing hefty fines on vendors involved in the production and sale of substandard food products and registering a criminal case against one shopkeeper on charges of fraud.

During the operation, PFA food safety teams confiscated and destroyed more than 100 kilograms of adulterated khoya (milk solids), over 80 kilograms of contaminated milk, and more than 40 kilograms of expired food items, declaring them unfit for human consumption.

Officials said the enforcement drive was aimed at protecting public health and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Businesses found violating hygiene and quality standards were penalized, while legal action was initiated against those involved in deceptive and fraudulent practices
