Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia during a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
During the conversation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attacks carried out by the Houthi militia on Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea, describing them as unacceptable and a clear violation of international law.
He said the attacks threaten freedom of navigation and commercial shipping while undermining regional peace, security, and stability.
The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s complete solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that he, along with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the entire Pakistani nation, stands firmly with the Saudi leadership and people during this critical time.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to Saudi Arabia’s security, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and prosperity, assuring the Crown Prince that Pakistan would continue to work closely with the Kingdom and the international community to promote peace, security, and the uninterrupted flow of lawful maritime commerce in the Red Sea, the Strait of Hormuz, and the wider region.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman appreciated Pakistan’s steadfast support and the longstanding fraternal ties between the two countries.
The Prime Minister also conveyed his warm regards and best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
