GUJRAT: A low-level flood has been recorded at Head Marala on the Chenab River, while water flow at other major rivers and barrages remains within normal limits, according to the latest official report.
At Head Marala, 131,123 cusecs of water inflow and 108,850 cusecs of outflow were recorded. Water flow at Head Khanki and Head Qadirabad also remained normal.
On the Jhelum River, the water level at Mangla Dam was recorded at 1,177.55 feet, with an inflow of 71,000 cusecs and an outflow of 10,000 cusecs, indicating a normal situation.
Meanwhile, 8,538 cusecs of water flow was recorded in Munawar Tawi, while no significant flow was reported in Bhimber Nullah.
No rainfall was recorded in Gujrat district during the past 12 hours.
The district administration has directed all relevant departments to remain on alert and continue close monitoring of rivers and seasonal streams to ensure timely response to any change in the flood situation.
