LONDON: The Pakistan High Commission in London has announced special consular service camps for Pakistani nationals living in the United Kingdom, aiming to provide essential services closer to their homes.
According to details, the initiative has been launched under the High Commission’s Community Outreach Programme to facilitate the Pakistani community and ensure easier access to consular services without requiring them to travel to Central London.
The camps are being organized on the instructions of Pakistan’s High Commissioner, Dr Faisal, allowing overseas Pakistanis to access various services in their local areas.
A special consular camp will be established in Slough, where Pakistani citizens will be able to apply for new National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) and renew existing cards, along with accessing other services provided by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
The camp will also offer assistance with Power of Attorney services, document attestation, guidance regarding identity documents and matters related to the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA).
The initiative is expected to make consular services more accessible and convenient for Pakistani residents across the UK, particularly those living far from London.
Through this programme, the Pakistan High Commission aims to strengthen its engagement with the overseas Pakistani community and address their administrative and documentation needs more efficiently.
