QUETTA: Evidence allegedly linking Afghan nationals to militant activity in Pakistan has surfaced again following a security operation in Mastung, Balochistan, according to Pakistani security sources.
The sources says that Afghan nationals were among militants killed during an operation against members of Fitna al-Hindustan in Mastung.
According to the security sources, an Afghan General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) identification card was recovered from the body of a militant identified as *Zulfiqar, alias Abu Umar. Another deceased militant, identified as **Khalil Ahmed, was allegedly found carrying an Afghan *tazkira, an official Afghan identity document.
Recent reports have confirmed security operations against militants identified by Pakistani authorities as Fitna al-Hindustan in Mastung. On September 13, security forces reportedly killed three militants, including a commander identified as Naqeeb, during an operation in the district.
Claims of a Cross-Border Militant Network
Pakistani security sources have also referred to earlier intelligence reporting that allegedly identified cooperation between India’s intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), and elements associated with the Afghan Taliban’s intelligence structure.
According to the intelligence report cited by the sources, a joint clandestine network was allegedly established in 2025 to support militant and sabotage activities in Balochistan.
The report further claims that RAW provided approximately $7.8 million for alleged terrorist and sabotage activities in Balochistan. It also alleges that militants were provided with weapons, logistics and other support.
