ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has assured the country’s business community of the government’s full support, pledging to address security concerns and create a safer environment for trade and investment.

The assurance came during a meeting with traders and industrialists representing the Chambers of Commerce from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, who briefed the minister on the prevailing security situation and the challenges faced by businesses in their provinces.

During the meeting, Naqvi outlined the government’s ongoing measures to strengthen security, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, and reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the business community.

“The government will utilize all available resources to resolve the issues faced by traders and industrialists and ensure their security,” the interior minister said.

Naqvi also announced that he would soon visit Peshawar and Quetta, where he plans to hold detailed meetings with representatives of the business community in the presence of senior provincial government officials. He said the objective is to develop practical and long-term solutions to the challenges confronting businesses.

Emphasizing the importance of the private sector, the minister said providing a secure and business-friendly environment remains one of the government’s top priorities. He added that the private sector plays a vital role in strengthening Pakistan’s economy and that the country’s progress is closely linked to the growth of its business community.

“The entire government stands with you, and we are committed to resolving all your legitimate concerns,” Naqvi told the delegation.
