Islamabad :Fatima Zahra, Pakistan’s Islamic Games Bronze Medalist, has created history by becoming the first female boxer in Pakistan’s boxing history to present the Pakistan Boxing Team Captain’s Cap.
The honour was announced during the final sparring and training session of the Pakistan Boxing Team’s camp in Islamabad ahead of the Commonwealth Games. The President of the Pakistan Boxing Federation visited the camp, appreciated the dedication, discipline, and hard work of the athletes and coaching staff, and presented Pakistan colours to team members and coaches as a symbol of national pride and encouragement.
The Pakistan Boxing Federation expressed confidence that the team will represent the country with pride and deliver its best performance at the Commonwealth Games, while urging the nation to support and pray for the athletes.
