Italy produced a stunning first-half performance against Türkiye in the UEFA Nations League, racing into a 3–0 lead in their Group A1 clash in Bursa.

The Azzurri made a flying start and quickly took control of the match, scoring three times inside the opening half-hour.

Bastoni Opens the Scoring

Italy broke the deadlock in the 9th minute when Alessandro Bastoni found the back of the net, giving the visitors an early advantage.

Türkiye struggled to respond as Italy continued to control possession and create dangerous opportunities.

Frattesi Doubles Italy’s Advantage

Italy extended their lead in the 22nd minute, with Davide Frattesi scoring to make it 2–0.

The second goal further increased the pressure on Türkiye, who were looking for a way back into the contest after losing their opening Nations League match against France.

Kayode Makes It 3–0

Italy added a third goal just five minutes later. Michael Kayode scored in the 27th minute, putting Italy firmly in command at 3–0.

The rapid three-goal burst stunned the home side and gave Italy a commanding position before half-time.

The match was Türkiye’s second game of the 2026–27 UEFA Nations League campaign. Türkiye had previously lost 1–0 to France, while Italy entered the game after a 2–0 defeat to Belgium.

The fixture was played at the Atatürk Spor Kompleksi in Bursa on September 28, 2026.
